My Journalism Journey
A Snapshot So Far
I grew up in West Chester, PA in the Philly suburbs, but have called the city home for the last nine years. I've been a journalist and editor in Philadelphia for the last five. In that time, I was a political reporter and then editor at AL DÍA News, Philly's longest-running bilingual English-Spanish publication.
I covered not only the city elections in 2019, but also the 2020 presidential election, and guided AL DÍA's political coverage of the 2022 midterms and 2023 city elections. Beyond politics, I also wrote about arts and culture, education, business, housing, and more in my time at AL DÍA. Because of the publication's bilingual approach, focusing on Philly's and other U.S. Latino communities, I've also built rapport with Latino leaders from across the city and country, and have covered a number of topics particular to U.S. Latinos. I am also comfortable speaking both English and Spanish.

Before AL DÍA, I was a contributing writer at Merion West, a Philly-based online political magazine that attempts to find the middle ground in today's ever-more polarizing times. Outside of traditional journalism, I've also written business profiles for Get To Know Montco, a platform created by Navitas Marketing that highlights local businesses in Montgomery County, PA, and assisted recovering cancer patients to write first-person narratives of their cancer diagnoses and treatments for Fox Chase Cancer Center in Northeast Philadelphia.
I am a graduate of Temple University, where I got my bachelor's in English and Spanish, and then a master's in journalism.

Impact is the Goal
Impact through storytelling and journalism can come in many forms. It can change society's norms as we know it, government policy, or just an individual life. I strive to have impacts at all those levels with every piece I publish, no matter the topic.
